Biomancy, like any other field of magic on the Continents has long had its eccentrics and oddballs. Many mages who specialize in this area are always pushing the limits of what can and cannot be done with biology or plants and animals, often with no long-term goal other than as a hobby. A controversial creation has been that of “dragons”. These are not based on the three unrelated animals that are colloquially called “dragons” as found on the Continents, but the actual attempts by some biomancers to actually create something akin to a dragon as is seen in folktales and mythology through bio-engineering, often just to see if it could be done in the first place. Magic is a phenomenon in the Continents that has various rules and natural laws just as much as any other natural occurance. While any sapient creature can learn to harness and use magic, the process of learning to do so is a long and ardous task. This is why that although mages and magic users are very common on the Continents, there is a huge difference between the cantrips and minor tricks of the amateur and an advanced mage. There are countless cultures and societies on the Continents, and as a result, there are many different theories as to what magic is and how to use it. However, magic can be broadly defined by two categories; personal magic, and divine magic. The difference is that personal magic is done by mortal spellcasters who draw from their own skills or abilities, while divine magic comes from a deity or is channeled from one by a follower. I originally intended to post this as a journal entry, but I have decided to make it a submission in its own right. So, I have been mulling over this for awhile, and if I had the money, I would put together a fictional theme park with a tongue-in-cheek dark humor theme of dictators and despots throughout world history. I realize that what qualifies as a dictator is rather subjective, however, I think it is safe to say that there are some historical figures that are almost universally agreed upon to be utter tyrants. So without further ado, let us take a look at the amusement park, Tyrannopolis! The mascot for Tyrannopolis would be the Groovy Generalissimo. He would be a cartoonish, tall, lanky man seemingly in his 20's or 30's, with a pair of round, John Lennon-style sunglasses, a long, brown shaggy beard, and brown long hair underneath a "commissar" style hat.
